This place is great. The drinks are amazing. They have a good variety of specialty drinks and their mimosas are pretty big.
The tuna stack was delicious! I would definitely recommend it.
The chicken sandwich was the only think I didn't love. It was a little great and there wasn't a lot of flavor. -

Parrot Key gets an "A" in ambience, vibe , views and service. It's an open air restaurant that's right on the water with amazing views. The staff is very attentive and provide excellent service. There is a full bar and the drinks will always be flowing. The live band with steel drums was so much fun! The issue is the food - it's typical bar fare but was amazingly underwhelming. It wasn't bad, it was just "OK".
We will come back, because the service and ambience of Parrot Key is what South Florida is about. Definitely a cool place to hang out. -

So my husband calls and asks if we needed a reservation for just dinner and of course the clueless girl answering the phone said No. We get there and we have an hour and a half wait time. She says have a seat at the bar and they will call him. Ok, there are no seats at the bar so we had to find a place to wait.
I didn't mention., When we got there also a very young girl ,at least 18 years of age looks at me and says with a shrill voice. " wait time will be until 6:30 !!!!!! Ok, I heard her. If I wasn't in such a pleasant mood I would have laid into her but there were too many people around and I might have gotten arrested so I just glared at her. It was probably the same clueless girl who answered the phone.
Anyway, as if she read my mine She looked at me as if she knew what I was thinking and backed down.
Needless to say, we left. Too bad for the waitress who would have gotten a great tip but thanks to the circumstances NO GO!
Too far! It's just food. Give me a break -

Ahi tuna avocado stack with diced cukes and cheese is still delicious, but is smaller than I recall. It is an appetizer and is now appetizer sized. Price too much for so little.. Anyway, it hasn't discouraged me from returning to this fun restaurant on the water with its tropical ambiance.
The light breeze on a super-hot and humid day reminds one of drifting of onto a tropical spot, far away from Fr Myers and Sanibel, but.. here it is. -

We came on a Saturday night. There was a one man band playing 70s and 80s music. The waitress wasn't very friendly. We order beer, fried grouper with chips and clam chowder. The chips were disgusting in taste that I couldn't even eat a whole chip. It had this old grease cardboard taste. Honesty the worst fried chip I've ever had! It's really hard to disappoint me & this place made it very easy. A fried scorpion from Beijing taste better than those chip!
